Popular Reggae artist Kingly T is back at it again with his newest Reggae single “Everybody Think They Know,” and “Everybody Think They Know (Remix)” featuring Tyra. This single is Kingly T’s first release under Atlas Star Records, an indie record label in Charleston, South Carolina. Despite just signing with the label, however, Kingly T is by far new to the music scene: he has been serving up hits around the world since 2007 with his first album “Unity,” and since then released five albums to date.

Although Kingly T is a Reggae artist, he has a knack for perfectly blending Reggae with more mainstream genres, such as Pop, and this gives him a unique edge compared to other artists in the genre. “Everybody Think They Know” is a great example of how Kingly T blurs the lines with genres; while the single is Reggae at heart, it has a beat that appeals to the majority of people.

I have to admit that the “Everybody Think They Know” is a little bit repetitive for my personal taste, with the chorus taking up the majority of the lyrics in the song; however, messages of hope and the power of faith are prevalent and inspirational throughout the single. Further, it’s impossible to ignore that there’s power in repetition — it’s hypnotic. Even with heavy repetition, “Everybody Think They Know” is a song you can’t help but love. I especially like the remix where there’s more than one voice on this track, with Tyra accompanying Kingly T in the lyrics.

Another powerful aspect of this single is the underlying messages the artists are singing about. Kingly T is known for his powerful lyrics and inspirational messages, and “Everybody Think They Know” is yet another example of how Kingly T embraces the personal struggles that we all experience in an uplifting and positive way. My favorite lines in the song would have to be: “don’t let it get you down / you want to stick around / you’re not alone.” These few lines alone elucidate the meaning of the song as a whole: have faith in spite of worry.

One final note: Kingly T is known for blending reggae with more mainstream pop-style music in order to appeal to the masses, and “Everybody Think They Know” does just that. Even someone who doesn’t consider themselves to be a fan of Reggae music can appreciate the lyrics and style of “Everybody Think They Know.” With its catchy beat and sing-along style lyrics, Kingly T’s single is easily a hit for more than just the Reggae genre.

“Everybody Think They Know” is not only the type of song you listen to in the car with your windows rolled down in the summer, it’s also a reminder to be kinder to yourself and not give up when times get tough. Everybody should give this single a listen and keep in mind the powerful message that’s in the forefront to the up-beat instrumental background. I look forward to see what’s next from Kingly T — it’s sure not to disappoint.
Kingly Ttag:kinglytmusic.com,2005:Post/54084692018-08-30T21:48:58-04:002022-06-01T21:39:18-04:00Kingly T Signed to Independent Record Label
Kingly T signed to the independent record label Selective Records, on August 29th 2018

Kingly Ttag:kinglytmusic.com,2005:Post/52688982018-05-31T21:54:17-04:002022-04-19T02:01:08-04:00Respect Kingly T
Kingly T

Jamaica / United States

The musical journey of Kingly T began in Jamaica where he served as lead guitarist for the group known as ‘Ninja Force’. Kingly T helped modernize the idea of soul and reggae melding with modern pop conventions. During the late 90’s, he spread his unique brand of music around the world and traveled through a number of different countries including Mexico, Japan and the United States.

In 2007 he released his debut album “Unity”, which achieved commercial success with its unique blend of reggae, soul and jazz elements. In 2010 he released his follow up album ‘Rock It With Me’, which built upon the unique brand of music that the previous album helped solidify and brought his style even more into the mainstream. This allowed him, with the help of international exposure to craft perhaps his best album, ‘Live the Life’ in 2013. Focused on a positive message and bolstered by complex and textured musical arrangements, ‘Live the Life’ was the foundation for what his next albums would eventually produce. Kingly T’s most recent album ‘Life In The City’ erupted onto the scene in 2015 bringing his listeners roots reggae, lovers rock, party music, and a little dancehall too.

The perfect infusion of soul, reggae and jazz, ‘Got It All’ truly lives up to its title. As his fifth album to date, it is the apex of his musical journey. It’s the album that everything up to this point has been fueling, and the end result is something truly noteworthy. In terms of lyrical content, listeners will get a first-hand glimpse into the creative process.

Each track has been arranged in such a way that it moves the listener through the album one track at a time. The timing and lyrical content supplement the carefully crafted songs to create an immersive experience that is unlike any other. Touching on relevant social topics and the struggles that we all experience, the music allows the listener to connect with the artist to an unrivaled degree.
